Adjunct Professor

I teach a class called Visual Storytelling at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs. The class consists of hands-on camera and editing training alongside media literacy and analysis of the fast-changing industry. I have taught video journalism and documentary courses at the School of Journalism, and currently sit on the school’s non-profit news advisory group.

ACADEMIC ADVISOR / Mentor

Through ICFJ, I train newsrooms across the world in video storytelling, from Poland to Singapore. In 2021, I developed a curriculum for ICFJ’s video accelerator program. Participating newsrooms received in-person training and grants to build the capacity of their digital video teams. They also receive one-on-one mentorship by video experts, including myself, throughout the program.
